Atomic is delighted to be partnering with a Top 50 Firm, looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their West London Office. Our client is well established and serves a diverse client base. Their work is focused largely on OMB's, with turnovers up to £250million. They provide a wide range of services including audit, accounting, bookkeeping, tax compliance and many other services.

Responsibilities:

Joining as Management Accountant, you will be providing services to clients operating across various industries.

This role will involve:

  • Ownership and management of a portfolio of clients.
  • Client facing role - serve as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring queries are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Processing client records to either QuickBooks or Xero. Calculating and making adjustments for depreciation, prepayments, accruals & tax provisions.
  • Bank reconciliations, processing payroll journals.
  • Review of clients' account data in QuickBooks or Xero for the purposes of VAT return preparation.
  • Prepare VAT returns including accruals & cash-based accounting, flat rate schemes and partial exemption calculations. File VAT returns with HMRC and within accounting data.
  • Preparation of Management Accounts using Excel and Xero
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

  • Able to demonstrate experience of previously working as a bookkeeper.
  • Experienced working with QuickBooks and Xero.
  • Numerate with strong IT skills.
  • An excellent communicator with good verbal and written English skills.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and with a positive outlook.
  • Interested in working with different clients in varying business sectors.
  • Mobile and flexible to work in other Company offices and at clients' sites when necessary.
