Our client who is a Lloyd s Broker is looking for a Management Accountant to join their expanding accounting department. The purpose of the role is to drive efficiency and support services throughout the Front, Middle, and Back office. This is an excellent opportunity where you will be working directly with the management team in managing and developing daily accounting activities including budgets, management reporting, credit, and cash flow management for both Uk and over seas operations.

Main Duties:

  • Preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents
  • Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records, income, and forecast income.
  • Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
  • Supervising junior members of the internal accounting team.
  • Assisting in CASS 5 audits of departments within the organisation.
  • Providing quarterly regulatory returns, such as FCA RMA returns.
  • Overseeing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll.
  • Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements.
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Experience working within accounts in an Insurance organisation
  • Highly proficient in maths and accounting.
  • Able to solve allocation and reconciliation challenges
  • High competency in spoken and written business English
  • Excellent IT skills including all MS Office and Xero accounting software

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in an insurance brokerage or related
  • Good organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Integrity and dependability.
  • Ability to work independently in virtual teams and complete recurring tasks efficiently.
