An NHS Organisation in Central London are looking to appoint an interim Management Account to cover a long-term absence. They are looking for somebody who can hit the ground running, so NHS experience is a must for this! The successful candidate will have experience with month end, reconciliations, advanced Excel skills and be an excellent communicator!

Role: Management Accountant

Location: London

Organisation: NHS

Duration: 3-6 months

Rate: £26 per hour PAYE (paid directly by the organisation)

Duties:

  • Lead on month-end processes, including preparation of journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and analyse management accounts to support financial decision-making.
  • Raise and issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring correct coding and supporting documentation.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely exchange of information.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with policies and procedures.
  • Use advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis tools) to produce reports, manipulate large datasets, and provide insightful analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as required.

The successful candidate MUST:

  • Have Management Accountant experience within a NHS organisation
  • Have advanced Excel skills
