This role is an excellent position for a part-qualified Management Accountant looking to progress within a large, reputable payments business. Your remit would involve a blend of helping to operate the AP/AR function, along with more senior month-end responsibilities (including accurals, prepayments, journal posting).

A leading financial services firm specialising in foreign exchange solutions is seeking a Management Accountant to join its London-based finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting international entities and regulatory requirements.

Description

  • Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, ensuring compliance with regional regulations

  • Reconcile inter-company accounts and lead month-end reviews

  • Manage payroll, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset registers

  • Support and prepare statutory year-end accounts and audit materials

  • Assist with tax returns, compliance reporting, and ensure adherence to local tax regulations

  • Partner with internal teams to deliver financial insight and support strategic decisions

  • Ensure high standards of documentation, processes, and financial controls

Profile

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment

  • Strong knowledge of UK and/or Spanish financial regulations

  • Skilled in financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting

  • Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables); experience with Workday, Power BI, or FXDB is a plus

  • Confident working with auditors and cross-functional teams across regions

  • A proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes
