This is an amazing opportunity to progress your Accountancy experience within a fast moving production Agency (specialising in Fashion, Beauty & Luxury Brands)A production accountant is responsible for ensuring that production expenses are managed within budget and that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Duties include:Transactions processing• Verify process and upload supplier invoices, employees’ expenses and credit cards into NetSuite, ensuring all transactions are coded correctly.• Prepare invoices for artists recharges and reconcile artists billback accounts.Payment processing and reconciliation• Prepare payment runs (month-end and ad-hoc) and process payments on the bank.• Allocate supplier payments on NetSuite.• Resolve bank reconciliation queries pertaining to supplier payments.• Process direct debits, ensuring they are correctly recorded in NetSuite.Supplier relations and issue resolving• Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable transaction and regularly reconcile supplier statements.• Address supplier queries, identify discrepancies and resolve disputes to maintain positive supplier relationshipsAccounting and Reporting:• Ensure that all project related financial records are accurate and up-to-date, including managing cash flow, reconciling accounts, and tracking expenses against budget.• Prepare and distribute financial reports, including cost reports, production cost statements, and reconciliation reports.Artist statements and disbursements:• Prepare and distribute artist statements to agents for approval and send to artists once approved.• Point of contact for artists for any statement related queries.• Process artist advances and monthly disbursements.Budgeting and Forecasting:• Work with the agents and producers to manage production budgets, including tracking expenses throughout the production process.• Provide regular reports to the agents and producers, including variance analysis, project costing and reconciliation.• Ensure that all production expenses are properly accounted for and allocated to the correct budget categories.Communication and Collaboration:• Work closely with the agents and producers to ensure that all transactions are processed, and projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner.• Collaborate with other departments, to ensure effective communication and coordination across the organisation.• Represent the company in financial matters related to production, including working with external partners such as artists, accountants, and production vendors.Month End and Ad hoc• Reconcile revenue and WIP accounts and process production close journals.• Prepare and distribute monthly unbilled projects reports and follow up on any overdue jobs.JOB REQUIREMENTS:• This role requires financial expertise, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with agents, producers, other stakeholders, and external partners.• 1+ years’ experience working as a Production Accountant or similar role#• Experience in the Media sector is preferential• Self-starter and great at working independently as well as within a teamThe company offer an excellent salary / benefit package and the role will be hybrid ( 1 or 2 days in the office and the rest working from home)
