Role responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT returns
- Overseeing corporation and personal tax compliance, including reviewing tax returns
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, offering guidance and building long-term relationships
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members and reviewing their work
- Liaising with HMRC and other external bodies to resolve queries and ensure compliance
- Contributing to internal process improvements and helping shape team best practices

Candidate requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with strong post-qualification experience in practice
- Confident preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns for a range of entities
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-first approach
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple deadlines
