Job Description
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in London for a Senior Finance Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. This role will be a key part of the Place/Resources directorate and will support the senior Finance members make informed decisions for the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and monitoring revenue budgets monthly for services such as Corporate Estates, Facilities Management, Catering, Planning and Building Control.
- Deliver accurate, insightful financial reports to keep high-profile budgets on track.
- Lead on financial forecasting and cash flow planning to support strategic growth.
- Ensure smooth year-end processes and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Champion data-driven insights by extracting and presenting financial information clearly.
- Contribute to transformation projects that improve services and deliver value for money
- Qualified CCAB/CIMA or Part-Qualified with extensive experience
- Experience in a similar role within a Local Government environment
- Experience of preparing and monitoring monthly revenue budgets for service areas
- High-level forecasting and reporting skills with experience of cash flow planning
- Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
