Senior Internal Auditor - 6-Month Contract
Stanford Real Estate Partners have been exclusively engaged to recruit a Senior Internal Auditor at an established Private Equity Real Estate business on an initial six months basis, with the potential to extend. In this role, the Senior Internal Auditor will review processes across the business, making sure they’re well-managed, compliant, and working as they should.
This Senior Internal Auditor position is a high-profile opportunity within an established team that will report directly to the COO, and engage with various stakeholders across the firm. The business offers a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the office and 2 from home. This role can be based in one of their major offices in London, Luxembourg or Amsterdam.
Package offered is negotiable dependent on experience - circa £80k - £100k pro-rata.
What You'll Be Doing:
- The Senior Internal Auditor will carry out audits on different business functions to assess how effective and reliable their processes are in accordance to the annual audit plan.
- Identifying effectiveness of internal controls, identify areas of risk, and recommending practical solutions.
- Writing clear, well-structured reports and keeping detailed records of audit findings
- Following up to make sure any issues raised are properly addressed
- Working alongside teams to to provide advisory services and support process improvements
- Supporting investigations when needed, including fraud detection
- Coordinating with external auditors and regulators during reviews
What We're Looking For:
- Must have strong audit experience, ideally within a corporate setting or a Big 4 firm
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration preferred
- Professional certification is preferred (CIA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, CISA)
- A strong understanding of financial regulations, IFRS, and audit standards (IIA Standards, COSO framework etc)
- Organised, analytical, and confident interacting with people at all levels
- Ability to juggle different tasks and deadlines without getting overwhelmed.
