Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to start their career in accounting. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, taxation, and audit while working towards a professional accounting qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
  • Supporting tax computations and VAT returns
  • Processing invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with audit fieldwork and preparing documentation
  • Liaising with clients and responding to queries
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards
  • Supporting senior accountants with various ad-hoc tasks

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage workload efficiently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to study towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
