Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to start their career in accounting. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, taxation, and audit while working towards a professional accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
- Supporting tax computations and VAT returns
- Processing invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations
- Assisting with audit fieldwork and preparing documentation
- Liaising with clients and responding to queries
- Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards
- Supporting senior accountants with various ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage workload efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to study towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
