On behalf of their client, a globally recognised logistics services group with operations in over 220 countries and territories, they are seeking a UK Corporate Tax Specialist. This role presents the unique opportunity to work remotely whilst being part of a large and complex global organisation. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing corporate tax support to a portfolio of group companies or business divisions.

What you'll do:

As a UK Corporate Tax Specialist, you will play an integral role in supporting the company's tax operations. Your primary responsibility will be preparing UK corporate tax computations and filing returns. You will also produce tax disclosures for inclusion in statutory accounts and address tax technical issues as they arise. Additionally, you will prepare transfer pricing documentation, manage internal queries regarding transfer pricing matters, assist with year-end and quarterly reporting, review the UK Group's CFC position, process improvements, make appropriate claims and elections, and liaise with HMRC on issues as they arise.

  • Prepare UK corporate tax computations and file returns
  • Produce tax disclosures for inclusion in statutory accounts
  • Address tax technical issues as they arise
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation using the Group's Transfer Pricing Manager software
  • Manage internal queries regarding transfer pricing matters
  • Assist with year-end and quarterly reporting under IFRS and Prior Year Adjustment calculations using ONESOURCE Tax Provision tool
  • Review the UK Group's CFC position, process improvements and make appropriate claims and elections
  • Liaise with HMRC on issues as they arise and provide timely responses to queries

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the UK Corporate Tax Specialist role is ACA/ACCA/ICAS and/or CTA qualified with at least two years post qualification experience. You possess good tax technical skills in UK corporate tax and have an awareness of international tax issues. You have strong Tax Technology skills or are quick to pick these up. Experience of transfer pricing issues affecting large corporates is essential. You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and can work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. You are confident in maintaining and developing good working relationships with colleagues and have a good commercial awareness.

  • ACA/ACCA/ICAS and/or CTA qualified with at least two years post qualification experience
  • Good tax technical skills in UK corporate tax and an awareness of international tax issues
  • Strong Tax Technology skills or quick to pick these up
  • Experience of transfer pricing issues affecting large corporates
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Confident to maintain and develop good working relationships with colleagues
  • Good commercial awareness
