Collins Property Recruitment is currently working with a Lettings and property management company based in the City of London (Moorgate station). They’re looking for a Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit team and support the finance and property management functions.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s detail-oriented, proactive, and has experience in property accounts, especially within the lettings space.Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:
- Processing rental income, tenant deposits, and landlord payments.
- Processing rental income for both short-term lettings and long-term lettings.
- Raising invoices on Xero.
- Reconciling bank statements and lettings accounts.
- Handling supplier invoices and arranging contractor payments.
- Preparing monthly landlord statements and resolving financial queries.
- Collaborating closely with property management and lettings teams, taking on some Office Management duties.
- Supporting with year-end accounts and ad-hoc financial reporting.
- Ensuring all processes align with client money protection and lettings regulations.
Ideal Candidate for the Accounts Assistant:
- Previous experience in lettings or property accounts, minimum 2 years.
- Tech savvy - Proficient in property management/accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and solid numerical skills.
- Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear and confident communicator.
- Knowledge of UK lettings compliance is a plus.
This is an office-based role in London offering a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
