Wise May are looking for a proactive Accounts Assistant to join a leading conference and events venue based in the City. As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for all aspects of accounts. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly team, who bring high profile events and conferences to life.
This is a part time, office based role, working 3 days per week to suit the needs of the business, 9am-5.30pm.
Accounts Assistant duties and responsibilities:
- Processing all purchase and sales invoices, and expense claims.
- Maintaining a weekly cashflow forecast using data from the bank, Sage & CRM system. Keeping updated for 12 months in advance for a weekly update to the Director with commentary.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts daily and suggesting weekly payments.
- Maintaining Debtors.
- Assisting with producing monthly management accounts, eventually up to TB, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with producing an internally audited set of accounts at year end for auditors to review, then dealing with any follow up queries to ensure accounts are filed on time.
- Assisting dealing with any additional queries if and when they arise, such as Office for National Statistics, HMRC etc.
Accounts Assistant key skills and experience required:
- Experience of working through the full accounting lifecycle.
- Demonstrable knowledge of accruals, pre-payments, banking and balance sheet reconciliations and journaling.
- Sage Accounts Client Manager experience is highly desirable.
- Logical mindset, with a high attention to detail.
- Team orientated individual, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
