This is a rapidly growing and international betting agency based in west London, operating across several countries. They are recognised for their unrivalled services to customers worldwide providing the very best of experiences in sports betting.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to hire a talented Assistant Accountant to join their finance department.

Role

The Assistant Accountant will take on a number of key duties, working closely with the Financial Controller. They will be manage the day-to-day upkeep of transactional duties as well as month-end processes. They will be responsible for a number of key tasks including:

  • Posting transactions through in-house accounting system, Sage.
  • Processing bank transfers and cheque payments from online trading accounts.
  • Review bank statements and post receipts to correct client accounts.
  • Reconciling trading bank statements.
  • Posting accruals and prepayments.
  • Post journal entries for any expenses coded.
  • Prepare monthly cashflow analysis.
  • Update the nominal ledgers for all accounts.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with management accounts preparation.
  • Assist wider business with any ad hoc duties.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Assistant Accountant position, should have the following attributes:

  • 2/3+ years of experience within a hands-on Accounts Assistant capacity
  • Strong exposure in managing Accounts Payable / Receivable processes within a small team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Experience with Sage 200 would be beneficial
  • Confident with Excel (Pivot tables / VLOOKUPs)
