Assistant Financial Accountant (12 month Contract)

Central London / Hybrid | International Corporate Services business | £40-42 + benefits

This dynamic International Corporate Services business is looking for a Part Qualified Accountant to work as an Assistant Financial Accountant in its busy central finance function and be responsible for supporting financial accounting, and particularly the Balance Sheet. Reporting to the Financial Accounts Manager, key tasks include:

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Monthly intercompany reconciliations and process recharges to hubs.
  • Assist with VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Purchase Ledger, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Perform Aged Creditors Reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, overdue invoices, maintain clear financial planning, cash flow and compliance.
  • Process payments through online banking.
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with business operations on financial matters
  • Liaise with auditors and provide information and analysis as required.
  • Complete month end closing tasks
  • Support the Financial Accounts Manager and other staff as and when needed.

Key traits that the successful candidate will have include:

  • Part qualified ACCA / CIMA.
  • Strong financial reporting and reconciliation expertise.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding numerical skills.
  • Knowledge in using accounting software and strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a 'can do' attitude.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
