We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Admin Assistant to join a busy and friendly school office team. This is a key role, supporting the day-to-day delivery of HR operations and compliance in an educational setting.

About this Admin Assistant Role:

You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, GDPR compliance, absence monitoring, maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR), and general HR administration. You will also liaise with IT support providers and work closely with senior leadership on non-curriculum projects.

Pay Rate:£16-£21 per hour depending on experience

What We're Looking For in an Admin Assistant:

  • Strong administrative experience (experience in schools is a bonus)

  • Familiarity with Arbor or similar MIS software (desirable)

  • Understanding of HR procedures and safer recruitment practices

  • High level of discretion and professionalism

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working independently and managing data responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff records, training logs, and compliance documents

  • Administer recruitment processes, including checks and onboarding

  • Ensure SCR and DBS records are accurate and up to date

  • Act as the school's GDPR lead and oversee related compliance

  • Provide general admin support to HR and senior leadership

  • Liaise with IT support providers to ensure effective service delivery

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in a school office

  • Proficiency with Arbor or similar systems
