Chambers is now seeking a Part-time Administration Assistant to join their forward thinking and friendly team.
The Role:
The Administration Assistant will be supervised day-to-day by the Administration and Compliance (A&C) Manager and will be principally assisting her with a wide variety of administrative tasks. The Executive Board will have overall responsibility for their management.
Duties include:
- Assisting the A&C Manager with the general management of the premises, facilities and administration of Chambers. Be the first point of contact on site for colleagues, barristers and engineers. Under the supervision of the A&C Manager, act as on-site liaison with suppliers and contractors to ensure Chambers’ building maintenance, Health and Safety, IT and UK GDPR compliance and general housekeeping are all maintained to a very high standard. Under the direction of the A&C Manager, organise the supply of stationery and consumables, liaising with the Junior Clerk regarding inventory, anticipating need, placing orders within a prescribed budget. Under the direction of the A&C Manager, assist with the supplies and setting up for internal events such as the AGM, interviewing etc. Under the direction of the A&C Manager, assist with day-to-day administration of the library. Support the A&C Manager with the updating of policies and procedures when required. Any other duties as required.
Key Skills:
- Excellent organisational, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills with superb attention to detail. Able to manage a wide range of work areas and successfully deal with conflicting priorities. Proactive, positive, self-motivated and keen to contribute to team effort. Good knowledge of Microsoft 365.
