Join the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences (SBBS) at this University in East London as an Education Services Administrator.

This role is crucial in providing effective and efficient support for the administration and delivery of taught programmes. The successful candidate will convey a helpful, positive image and contribute significantly to the student and academic support within the school.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide administrative support within the Education Services Team, liaising with colleagues within the School and in Registry Service.
  • Assist with the administration associated with examinations/marks processing and general office support as required.
  • Support the maintenance of teaching and student information and data across various media, including databases
  • Contribute to the School’s timetabling process, inputting data as required in support of the Education Services Officer.
  • Act as Secretary to the School’s Programme Teaching Group meetings and other relevant committees, producing minutes and ensuring actions are followed up.
  • Provide reception services for the School Office when on campus, handling routine enquiries from students, staff, and visitors.
  • Coordinate and record coursework submissions and examination marks in line with the School’s marking policy and procedures.
  • Assist the student support team with extenuating circumstances claims, ensuring all documentation is provided and escalating complicated cases as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in using educational databases and information systems such as QMPlus and MySIS.
  • Experience in handling administrative processes related to examinations and timetabling.
  • Ability to work flexibly and supportively within a team.
