Quality Officer - Examinations Administration

We are seeking a Quality Officer to join the School, based in East London.  This role is crucial for overseeing and enhancing the administration of all activities related to assessment and examinations within the school. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Education Services Manager and Subject Exam Board Chairs to ensure efficient and effective management of examination processes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee the preparation and administration of all school examination papers, ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain and monitor systems for the scrutiny of examination papers, including reviewing and editing to meet required standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for examination-related queries from students, staff, and external examiners, providing high-level customer care.
  • Manage the processing of marks for all assessments and examinations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as Examination Board Secretary for designated boards, producing minutes and reports and confirming student progression and results.
  • Review and implement assessment regulations and guides, ensuring compliance and updating processes as necessary.
  • Manage academic misconduct policies in collaboration with the Academic Misconduct Officer.
  • Assist with reception services for the School Office, handling routine enquiries and providing support as needed.
  • Work flexibly as part of the Education Services Team, supporting high-volume activities and covering for absences as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in examinations and assessments administration within an academic setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in managing and editing examination papers.
  • Familiarity with academic regulations and the ability to implement procedural changes.
  • Competence in using student records systems and office management software.
