Are you passionate about creating inspiring events and want to play a key role in welcoming the next generation of students to university life? Our client, a leading higher education institution, is seeking a dynamic and organised Student Recruitment Events Officer to join their Outreach, Recruitment and Admissions team.
In this exciting role, you'll be at the heart of delivering exceptional student recruitment and conversion events - from Open Days and Applicant Days to virtual experiences and national education fairs. Working closely with academic departments and professional services across the institution, you'll ensure every event leaves a lasting, positive impression on prospective students.

What You'll Do:


  • Plan, coordinate and deliver impactful recruitment events that boost applications and conversions

  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless attendee experience

  • Supervise student ambassadors and ensure high standards of customer service

  • Create event schedules and materials, ensuring they are on-brand and accurate

  • Support with event communications, digital collateral and evaluation for continuous improvement

  • Maintain a sharp eye on sector trends, using insights to inform event strategies

  • Embrace flexibility - occasional evening/weekend work and travel between sites may be required


What We're Looking For:


  • Proven experience in planning and delivering professional events

  • Knowledge of the UK higher education student recruitment landscape

  • Strong communication, organisation and project management skills

  • A customer-focused mindset with an eye for detail and creativity

  • Confidence using IT systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly

  • A team player with leadership potential and a proactive, can-do attitude

  • Degree or equivalent experience


Desirable Skills (but not essential):


  • Experience in a Higher Education environment

  • Familiarity with online booking platforms, CRMs and risk assessments

  • An understanding of accessibility and inclusive communication practices
