Job Overview:We are currently recruiting an experienced and driven Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the neurology and critical care teams at St George's Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in one of London's leading teaching hospitals, delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across acute neurology wards, intensive care, and high dependency units. The successful candidate will support patients with complex neurological conditions including acquired brain injuries and neurosurgical presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with physical and cognitive impairments arising from neurological conditions

  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy care to patients on acute wards, ITU, and high dependency units

  • Develop and implement personalised treatment plans aimed at improving function and quality of life

  • Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team including doctors, occupational therapists, nurses, and speech and language therapists

  • Monitor and record patient progress, modifying treatment as necessary

  • Contribute to safe and timely discharge planning

  • Participate in clinical discussions, service development initiatives, and student supervision when required

Key Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist

  • Minimum of 6 months NHS experience

  • Prior experience working in neurology, acquired brain injury (hypoxic and traumatic), and neurosurgery is essential

  • Experience within intensive care units (ICU) and high dependency units (HDU) is highly desirable

  • Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills

  • Ability to manage a complex caseload within a fast-paced acute hospital setting

  • A team player with a commitment to high standards of care and continuous professional development
