The speed read: Â
A successful design agency wants to build out their writing team.
The facts: Â
You’ll be part of a small team, working with and learning from the Content Director and working closely with designers every day. You will be focusing on one large international client, so you will want to get up to your knees in all their products, propositions and innovations.Â
You can write clear, engaging, long form copy, with flair, for a senior level audience that isn’t highly technical. This is not a technical writing role.
If you have the right attitude and willingness to learn, you’ll thrive. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to develop broader shoulders and get more senior quickly. Â
You need experience in writing b2b fintech/paytech copy. You get to deepen your interest and become expert. You can distil complicated descriptions of fintech and paytech into user-friendly, engaging copy. There are lots of different teams within the client and you will be working between the sales, tech and marketing teams to write the best marketing material you can.
It's plenty of longform, thought leadership, data sheets, white papers and brochures with some campaign and animation scripts thrown in. It's the agency's largest and loveliest client and they are all ears to your suggestions. You will be talking to clients a lot, so you can demonstrate how great you are in the conversation. You can back up your thinking and your ideas and push back in a healthy way.Â
You’ll have: Â
- 2 - 5 years’ relevant experience in B2B tech copywriting (please include relevant examples in your portfolio).  Preferably some agency experience, so you get the cadence of projects and how clients work.Â
- Experience of the fintech ecosystem (you get the jargon but don't speak it too much)
- The ability to unpack and communicate a fintech/pay tech product’s proposition or theme or innovation (this client is at the vanguard of paytech)
- Doing thorough desktop research to understand the environment of a specific product, service or innovation.
- Able to get to a first draft easily off your own steam, by motivating to ask smart questions and get momentum, ready for input.
- Working within a small engaged creative team and working closely with thoughtful designers , so you can relate to the bigger creative objective
- A self-starter.
- Wanting to go into the studio (near Waterloo) 3 days a week as you want to soak up as much as possible and get on.Â
Please attach CV and folio of writing.  Â
