Architectural Technician
Location: Central London
Salary: 35,000-45,000 (dependent on experience)

A design-led architectural studio in Central London is looking for a skilled Architectural Technician to join its collaborative and creative team. The practice is renowned for delivering high-quality, innovative projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors. This role offers the chance to work on technically demanding projects from design through to construction within a supportive, design-focused studio environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate detailed technical drawings, construction packages, and specifications
  • Support projects across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion
  • Assist with planning submissions, building control documentation, and tender packages
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure technical information complies with UK Building Regulations and industry standards
  • Contribute to design development while maintaining high technical accuracy
  • Support and mentor junior technicians where applicable

Skills & Experience:

  • Recognised qualification in Architectural Technology
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK construction methods, detailing, and regulations
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks, Archicad, AutoCAD
  • Experience preparing detailed drawing packages for planning and construction
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach, confident communicator, and proactive problem-solver
  • Previous experience within a UK architectural practice is highly desirable
