Field Service Engineer - Forklift Trucks
Location: Covering London, Essex & Kent
Salary: 35,000+ (OTE with overtime & call-out)
Monday to Friday - Days
Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Paid Travel Time

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join a well-established and growing materials handling company. You'll be working on a wide range of forklift trucks, carrying out servicing, repairs, and diagnostics at customer sites across London, Essex, and Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking for a mobile role with autonomy, variety, and excellent earning potential.



Role Description:

  • Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on customer sites

  • Fault finding and repairs on a variety of forklift trucks and material handling equipment

  • Working on diesel, electric, and LPG powered machines

  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults

  • Providing excellent customer service and clear communication

  • Managing your own parts stock and job scheduling



Skills and Experience:

  • Proven field service experience - ideally with forklift trucks or similar plant equipment (agricultural, construction, HGV, etc.)

  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant, Mechanical, or Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

  • Experience with hydraulics, engines, and basic electrics

  • Full UK Driving Licence required
