A property and construction consultancy in London is looking to grow their H&S division with the addition of a CDM/Principal Designer.

My client is a vibrant and established practice, their offices are in the Heart of the City. The H&S department is currently delivering projects in the residential, education, healthcare and commercial sectors. We are looking for a consultant who is proficient in delivering schemes and has experience is liaising with external stakeholders and contractors.

You the successful CDM/Principal Designer will manage a range of programmes across London the surrounding home counties. The opportunity is to deliver a comprehensive range of services across the CDM 2015 regulations plus you will also be tasked with acting as a Principal Designer. You will work in collaboration with other construction professionals including architects building surveyors, project managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a variety of H&S services to ensure compliance on construction projects
  • Offer a range of services across the CDM 2015 regulations
  • Act as a Principal designer
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure RAMS are in place
  • Submission of the F10 Notification to the HSE and review of Construction Phase Plans prior to works starting on site.
  • Assist with the writing of risk assessments and safe systems of work for clients.
  • Maintain integral stakeholder relationships and manage external contractors

CDM/Principal Designer

  • Construction related degree (desirable)
  • NEBOSH in construction
  • Full member of IOSH, APS or CIOB
  • Extensive knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
  • Acted as Principal Designer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full UK drivers licence
