Part II Architectural Assistant Job in North London

An award-winning, design-led practice has a new role for a Part II Architectural Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to gain experience across all RIBA stages, with a particular focus on early-stage residential and workplace projects.

Role & Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation, development and editing of drawings, models, and supporting design documentation

- Support the project lead across all project stages, with an emphasis on concept through to planning (RIBA 0-3)

- Produce visual representations and develop design options for team review

- Contribute to plan checks and ensure high-quality project delivery

- Communicate clearly with team members, consultants, and other stakeholders

- Research materials, construction methods and sustainable design techniques

- Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and British Standards

- Understand and align with the practice's values and way of working.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong design and drawing skills (digital and hand-drawn)

- Experience with Vectorworks would be beneficial but training would be offered

- Experience working on early-stage residential and/or workplace schemes

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

- Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team

- Understanding of project briefs, deadlines, and budget constraints

- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn

- Ability to work independently, using initiative where needed

- Working knowledge of RIBA stages 0-3 is essential

- Knowledge of construction detailing and RIBA Stages 3-6 is beneficial

- Interest in low-carbon design and adaptive reuse

- Comfortable managing multiple projects or workstreams.
