Randstad are currently recruiting a Design Manager to work with a very highly regarded tier 1 contractor on a major project in London.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively drive and develop solutions to our client's problems
- Manage the technical risks on projects in relation to design and construction
- Develop and maintain the design programme, aligned, and linked to the construction
- Lead on design change control in collaboration with the commercial team
- Drive the application of digital engineering and BIM objectives
- Ensure technical compliance of design submissions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on heavy civils projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry standards.
- Knowledge/experience of M&E interface.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of driving high-performance teams.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
