Job Title: Freelance Faade Design Manager
Location: Kensington, London
Rate: £275 - £325 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Freelance
We are seeking an experienced Faade Design Manager to join a prestigious construction project in the Kensington area on a freelance basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly regarded team on a landmark scheme involving complex faade elements and high-end architectural detailing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design development of faade packages from concept through to installation
- Coordinate between design consultants, architects, contractors, and suppliers
- Ensure technical compliance with specifications, performance standards, and building regulations
- Lead design reviews and manage the resolution of faade-related issues
- Monitor programme and deliverables to meet project deadlines
- Provide technical input during procurement and construction phases
Requirements:
- Proven experience in faade design management, ideally on residential or mixed-use projects in urban environments
- Strong technical knowledge of cladding systems, curtain walling, glazing, and building envelopes
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Degree-qualified in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
