Chisenhale Art Place are seeking a visionary Chair of the Board of Trustees, ready to champion the fundamental right to affordable creative space and secure CAP for future generations. This is a unique opportunity to lead an organisation with deep community roots and a far-reaching local, national and international reputation.
Â
The Chair will galvanise strategic ambition and foster transformative partnerships, helping shape a sustainable future for the Chisenhale Buildings. Working collaboratively across CAP’s three partner organisations, Chisenhale Gallery, Chisenhale Dance Space and Chisenhale Studios, the Chair will help realise a shared vision for long-term sustainability. This will include advocating for the organisation with London Borough of Tower Hamlets’ administration and within the community, working with the Greater London Authority, Arts Council England and the Creative Land Trust to secure a resilient future for all who use and are inspired by the space.
Â
We are looking for a Chair who understands the cultural landscape of East London, and who is energised by the opportunity to drive meaningful change. If you are passionate about equitable access to the arts and committed to supporting artists and creative communities, this is a chance to lead an organisation poised to shape the future of London’s cultural landscape.
