A global energy operator is seeking an Affiliate Financial Advisor to support the strategic and financial oversight of a portfolio of downstream joint ventures. Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management and Governance

Monitor the performance of assigned joint ventures and ensure alignment with overall investment and business strategy

Represent the company in Board, Shareholder, and Steering Committee meetings

Maintain oversight of strategic, operational, and financial outcomes for affiliate businesses
Financial Management and Performance Monitoring

Lead development of financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses

Oversee capital expenditures and monitor alignment with budget and shareholder value goals

Conduct benchmarking and performance reviews to identify areas for value optimisation
Joint Venture Structuring and Transactions

Support growth strategy through evaluation of new JV opportunities

Execute commercial due diligence, valuation analysis, and business case development

Collaborate with legal and technical teams to structure and negotiate commercial agreements
Stakeholder Engagement and Talent Development

Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and JV partners

Mentor and develop junior team members to build a high-performance culture

Contribute to process improvements and internal capability building
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Accounting or Finance; Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Management preferred

Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or CMA is desirable

Minimum of 10 years' experience in the downstream oil and gas sector, with at least 5 years in joint venture management, commercial strategy, or M&A

Strong background in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and transaction execution

Sound knowledge of shareholder agreements, JV governance frameworks, and commercial contract structures

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex JV environments

Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team environment
