We are working with a leading consultancy as they expand their team of in-house Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) assessors! The aim is to recommend effective support strategies and assistive technology to help students with disabilities thrive in higher education.
This role is perfect for someone with experience in a caretaking environment, special education/teaching or dealing with individuals with disabilities.
This is ahybridrole supporting university students acrossLondon, Wales, the Midlands, and East England- You must be able to commute to one of these locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify tailored learning and support strategies for students with a range of disabilities, including Specific learning difficulties (SpLDs), mental health conditions, long-term illnesses, and Autistic spectrum conditions.
- Recommend and evaluate appropriate assistive technology (hardware/software).
- Produce clear, timely assessment reports with suitable support recommendations.
- Communicate with students, funding bodies, suppliers, and institutions to ensure appropriate support is provided.
Requirements:
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- Understanding of DSA guidance and disability support.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills.
- Awareness of a wide range of disabilities.
- Knowledge of assistive technology (Is desirable, but not essential)
