Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and technically skilled AV Project Manager to join a team for a established client. This individual will play a key role in overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of audiovisual projects, while still maintaining hands-on involvement in installations when necessary. The AV Project Manager will ensure that each project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining the high standards of quality that our clients expect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight:
    Manage the end-to-end delivery of AV projects from initial scope and design to installation and final commissioning. This includes developing project plans, defining project goals, and ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Client Liaison:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project life cycle. Communicate project progress, address client concerns, and ensure overall satisfaction with the delivered solution.
  • Team Management:
    Coordinate and lead a team of AV technicians, engineers, and subcontractors. Provide guidance and direction to ensure the team delivers high-quality work on schedule.
  • Onsite Presence:
    Regularly visit project sites to oversee the installation process, monitor progress, and address any issues that arise. In some cases, assist with hands-on installation and troubleshooting of AV equipment to ensure quality control.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Provide technical support and expertise during installations, including troubleshooting and ensuring that AV systems are properly integrated and functioning. Maintain a deep understanding of the latest AV technology and best practices.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify potential risks to the project timeline, budget, or quality and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively resolve any issues that may impact the project's success.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Maintain thorough documentation for each project, including schedules, change orders, and post-installation reports. Provide regular project status updates to senior management.
  • Quality Control & Commissioning:
    Oversee the final testing and commissioning of AV systems to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Technical Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of AV technologies, including audio, video, lighting, control systems, and integration. Familiarity with industry-standard AV equipment and software is essential.
  • Project Management Skills:
    Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including developing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Hands-On Installation Experience:
    Experience with hands-on installation and troubleshooting of AV systems. Ability to step into the field when necessary to support the team.
  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Problem Solving:
    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Leadership:
    Experience managing teams, providing guidance, and ensuring high standards of quality and professionalism.
