Eagle Eats is a small and fast growing, community-focused artisanal bakery dedicated to crafting high-quality, handcrafted breads, pastries, and baked goods using high quality ingredients. We pride ourselves on our creativity, attention to detail, and warm customer service.
We are seeking a passionate and reliable baker to join our small team. This role involves hands-on production of a variety of baked goods including sourdough breads, laminated pastries, cookies, cakes, and seasonal specialties. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic,and a desire to contribute to a collaborative and creative environment.
Breakfast / lunch and unlimited coffee provided and start time never earlier than 5am.
We like to keep the menu updated with new products and creations regularly so this is an opportunity to be as creative as you can!
Requirements of the job
- Prepare, mix, shape, and bake a variety of artisanal breads, cakes and pastries
- Scale and follow recipes accurately, while maintaining quality and consistency
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment and tools (e.g., mixers, ovens, proofers)
- Monitor product quality and ensure freshness and presentation standards
- Assist with inventory management, ingredient prep, and daily mise en place
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and seasonal items
Requirements:
- 1year of professional baking experience (artisanal bread or pastry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, lamination
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with sourdough and long-fermentation breads
- Interest insustainable baking practices
- Creativity and enthusiasm for recipe development
