We are excited to represent an esteemed International Bank known for its exceptional service to high net worth individuals. They are currently seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join their team. This role is crucial for managing and expanding the bank's private banking portfolio, providing tailored financial solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. Fluency in Arabic is essential for this position.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and enhance existing private banking relationships and proactively establish new ones through strategic networking and business development.
  • Generate new funds under management and increase gross revenue by offering comprehensive banking services.
  • Cross-sell additional products such as mortgages and third-party services to meet and exceed KPIs.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Regulatory & AML policies, including sanctions screening, monitoring PEP activity, and overseeing large value and high-risk country transactions.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as Treasury, Settlement, and OPS to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Process all mortgage applications accurately and in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain and periodically review customer files to ensure all documentation and KYC information is up-to-date and adequate.
  • Efficiently handle customer requests including transfers, cash orders, cheque books, cash deposits, and enquiries.
  • Assist in the development of business strategies and budgets for the Relationship Management and Private Banking departments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and escalate risk matters to senior managers as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be CEMAP qualified.
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of AML regulations including JMLSG, FCA rules, 3rd EU Money Laundering Directive, and The Money Laundering Regulations.
  • Certification in the relevant field is required.
  • Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of day-to-day banking activities and the bank’s core operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
