Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Biomedical Scientist to join a well-established Haematology Department within a prestigious private healthcare provider in Central London. Key Responsibilities:-
Perform a full range of Haematology investigations, including blood counts, coagulation testing, blood film morphology, and specialist haematology procedures.

Analyse and interpret laboratory results accurately, ensuring a high standard of patient care.

Operate and maintain a variety of automated haematology analysers after competency-based training.

Participate in internal quality control (IQC) and external quality assurance (EQA) schemes.

Assist in stock control, method development, and validation of new testing equipment.

Adhere to laboratory policies, procedures, and UKAS ISO 15189 standards.

Support senior biomedical scientists with day-to-day laboratory operations and contribute to ongoing service improvements.

HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist (Haematology discipline).

Demonstrable post-registration experience in a UKAS-accredited Haematology laboratory.

Strong technical skills in full blood counts, coagulation studies, blood film examination, and specialist testing.

Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and patient data entry.

Team-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality laboratory standards and improving patient outcomes.

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Initially core hours (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM), transitioning to a 24/7 rota once competencies are signed off.

Initial contract duration of 3 months, with strong potential for extension based on performance and service needs.
