Are you a science graduate with a passion for food innovation?Our client, the world's largest refiner and marketer of a food product - is seeking a proactive Laboratory Analyst to join their cutting-edge New Product Development team based at their Canning Town site.

This is your opportunity to support global product innovation at a company that operates across North America, Europe, and Central America.

?? The Role

Reporting to the Europe NPD Senior Scientist, you'll be supporting a variety of new and existing product and packaging development projects. This is a hands-on, lab-based role that involves:

  • Preparing laboratory formulations and trial samples
  • Conducting analytical tests (e.g. brix, pH, water activity, viscosity, moisture)
  • Supporting shelf-life assessments and data analysis
  • Assisting with sensory tests, benchmarking and trial setups
  • Maintaining lab standards in line with GMP requirements

? Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience:

  • Previous work in a food production or analytical laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies (full training provided)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

Education:

  • HND or BSc in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal
  • Able to follow technical instructions precisely
  • Organised and adaptable with great attention to detail
  • Located near Thames or willing to relocate (availability to start ASAP is a plus!)
