Our client, an iconic independent record label, is seeking a Bookkeeper with advanced Excel and Xero accounting experience. The role offers hybrid working based in Southwest London.
Key responsibilities will include:
路 Undertaking bookkeeping and day-to-day financial tasks using Xero Accounting Software.
路 Processing the company鈥檚 purchase and sales ledger, recording bank and credit card transactions and reconciliations, and handling intercompany activities.
路 Handling all bank payments and fund transfers.
路 Balancing accounts, supplier, and bank reconciliations.
路 Preparing and post nominal ledger journals.
路 Preparing quarterly VAT return.
路 Preparing the monthly IOSS return.
路 Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
路 Issuing and securing payment of sales invoices.
路 Undertaking quarterly and year end debtor/creditor reports.
路 Handling payroll via Sage Cloud Payroll (including statutory submissions).
路 Filing financial paperwork for companies.
路 Collaborating with the General Manager and relevant label teams to set annual budgets and review variances.
路 Liaising with the warehouse team to manage stock control and wholesale/retail pricing.
路 Working with the Royalty Manager to ensure relevant data is processed for the bi-annual royalty run.
路 Carrying out year-end procedures and accounts with external accountants.
路 Working with the General Manager to review and streamline financial processes.
Requirements:
路 Experience with Xero accounting software.
路 Possess a part/full qualification with AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
路 Strong bookkeeping experience.
路 Experience with budget-setting.
路 Experience with management accounts.
路 Strong communication skills.
路 Robust Microsoft Office skills.
路 Advanced Excel skills; VLOOKUP鈥檚, pivot tables, advanced functions etc.
路 Disciplined approach to record keeping.
路 Some experience within the music industry, ideally in a record label.
