Our client, an iconic independent record label, is seeking a Bookkeeper with advanced Excel and Xero accounting experience. The role offers hybrid working based in Southwest London.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Undertaking bookkeeping and day-to-day financial tasks using Xero Accounting Software.

· Processing the company’s purchase and sales ledger, recording bank and credit card transactions and reconciliations, and handling intercompany activities.

· Handling all bank payments and fund transfers.

· Balancing accounts, supplier, and bank reconciliations.

· Preparing and post nominal ledger journals.

· Preparing quarterly VAT return.

· Preparing the monthly IOSS return.

· Process invoices, receipts, and payments.

· Issuing and securing payment of sales invoices.

· Undertaking quarterly and year end debtor/creditor reports.

· Handling payroll via Sage Cloud Payroll (including statutory submissions).

· Filing financial paperwork for companies.

· Collaborating with the General Manager and relevant label teams to set annual budgets and review variances.

· Liaising with the warehouse team to manage stock control and wholesale/retail pricing.

· Working with the Royalty Manager to ensure relevant data is processed for the bi-annual royalty run.

· Carrying out year-end procedures and accounts with external accountants.

· Working with the General Manager to review and streamline financial processes.

Requirements:

· Experience with Xero accounting software.

· Possess a part/full qualification with AAT/ACCA/CIMA.

· Strong bookkeeping experience.

· Experience with budget-setting.

· Experience with management accounts.

· Strong communication skills.

· Robust Microsoft Office skills.

· Advanced Excel skills; VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, advanced functions etc.

· Disciplined approach to record keeping.

· Some experience within the music industry, ideally in a record label.
