The Role:
This is a client-facing role where you will be responsible for managing bookkeeping tasks across multiple businesses. A key part of the role will be preparing and submitting VAT returns. Strong practical experience using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations
- Reconcile bank accounts, purchase and sales ledgers
- Process invoices, payments, and expenses
- Prepare accurate financial reports for clients and management
- Liaise with clients to provide support and resolve queries
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience within UK based accountancy practice (minimum 2 years)
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple clients
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
