About the Role

As a Caretaker, you'll work independently or as part of a team to provide essential estate services. You'll be a key point of contact for residents, addressing their concerns and maintaining communal areas to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Estate Maintenance & Cleaning:

  • Clean communal areas and ensure outdoor spaces are free of litter and detritus.
  • Remove graffiti promptly and control weed growth.

Resident Interaction:

  • Build positive relationships with tenants, providing advice and support, especially for vulnerable groups.
  • Address and escalate complaints and tenancy issues as needed.

Emergency Response & Repairs:

  • Handle emergencies such as fire, flooding, or burglary during working hours.
  • Perform minor repairs in communal areas in line with health and safety standards.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, complaints, and daily activities.
  • Report issues like abandoned vehicles, tenancy violations, or damage to the appropriate teams.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work in paired arrangements with colleagues for leave coverage and ensure cleaning frequencies are met.

What We're Looking For:

  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in cleaning, maintenance, or a similar role is desirable.
