Maintenance Operative - Residential Property PortfolioWood Green | £30,000 - £32,000 | Mon-Fri | 40 hours per week

We're working with a market-leading residential property management company to find a proactive Maintenance Operative to join their Wood Green-based team. This is a vital role ensuring resident's homes stay safe, compliant, and well-maintained - perfect for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and variety in their day.

The Role:

  • Carry out routine and proactive maintenance tasks across residential buildings

  • Focus on fire safety compliance - especially fire doors and safety systems

  • Complete in-house repairs including painting, decorating, and basic carpentry or M&E work

  • Conduct regular inspections and respond promptly to maintenance issues

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager, wider team, and external contractors

  • Maintain up-to-date records using Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations

What You'll Bring:

  • Solid experience in general maintenance or a similar building services role

  • Confidence in painting, decorating, basic carpentry, and minor mechanical or electrical repairs

  • Good understanding of fire door safety and building compliance

  • Awareness of Health & Safety best practices (FDIS and IOSH training are a bonus!)

  • Ability to work independently, stay organised, and solve problems effectively

  • Comfortable using basic computer tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • A can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team
