We’re working with a forward-thinking, highly respected client in the student accommodation sector who is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to join their Brent Cross property team.

The Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll ensure that the building and facilities are consistently maintained to the highest standards. You'll manage daily repairs, carry out planned preventative maintenance, and interact with residents in a professional, approachable manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and complete maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
  • Respond quickly to repair requests from residents
  • Ensure all works meet health & safety compliance standards
  • Oversee contractors and manage stock levels of supplies
  • Keep communal and refuse areas clean and safe
  • Assist with janitorial duties where required
  • Foster positive relationships with residents and contribute to a supportive living environment

? What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
  • Practical knowledge of basic repairs across multiple trades
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Customer-focused approach and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Awareness of Health & Safety regulations

Desirable:

  • Recognised trade certification (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, electrics)
  • Experience working in student accommodation or similar environments
  • NEBOSH/IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualifications

Flexibility Required
