A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Strategy Analyst to join a forward-thinking commercial strategy team within a major UK-based rail operator. The role will focus on demand modelling, forecasting, and providing key customer insights to inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain demand forecasting models to predict revenue across the business, using SQL and various data sources.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities, leveraging customer insights and demand drivers to create accurate projections.

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager and Revenue Management team to refine strategies and ensure the models are up to date with the latest data.

  • Provide analytical support for key business decisions, ensuring the use of best practices in rail industry demand modelling.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in the rail industry, particularly in demand modelling and forecasting.

  • Strong technical skills in SQL, with the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

  • Strong communication skills to present insights and findings effectively.

Interview Process:

  • Stage 1: Initial 45-minute screen with senior leadership.

  • Stage 2: A practical task focused on modelling, demand drivers, and data sources.
