We require a Business Change Officer to cover an existing workload within Metropolitan Police, based in Holborn Police Station HQ Offices (Hybrid working – 3 days per week).

This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Job Purpose:

  • Working closely with the Business Change & Comms Lead and wider MBS SLT.
  • This role will work closely with Change team and PMO to ensure timely delivery of information, dashboards and reports.
  • Help to build change impact assessments in a complex change environment – this will involve proactively meeting new stakeholders and learning about their roles and processes quickly.
  • Support the team to populate business readiness assessments – ensuring that it is built into every go live to ensure all boxes are ticked before progressing.
  • Write clear, concise and meaningful communications when required.
  • Support the Development of training plans via TNA and take part in training approaches.
  • Track progress against project milestones and the impact changes to milestones have on the Change POAP, Critical Milestone log, Plan-on-A-Page (PoAP), and Change Control.
  • Maintenance of project level Risks/Assumptions/Issues and Dependencies log.
  • Follow and promote our programme ‘brand’ with standards and consistency.
  • Deliver other activities related to supporting the programme to ensure users are ready for the programme changes. 

Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong change experience is essential.
  • People experience involving change projects would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience of delivering change management activities in different cultures – very familiar with the components of change and the change curve.
  • Experience of reaching out to variety of audience groups such as those on shift patterns, those not desk based, large numbers and how to tailor communications to be meaningful for each cohort.
  • Experience of developing creative solutions (AI, videos, e learning, SharePoint sites) to address communication needs – working smarter and using new technology.
  • Excellent competency in Ms Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Ms Project) ‘Can do’, problem solving and robust mindset.
  • Attention to detail especially when producing deliverables.
