ASSISTANT SITE CLEANING MANAGER

The Opportunity

We are a contract cleaning and soft services provider to the FM arena in London and widely regarded as the employer of choice. We manage and support both end user clients and managing agents with several Iconic buildings and developments you will recognise.

Working in a high-profile campus in Chiswick, the Assistant Cleaning Manager will proactively support the Cleaning Contract Manager in delivering the evening part of the contract and ensuring that agreed Key performance indicators and Service level agreements are delivered to a high standard.

The Shift

  • Monday to Friday, 2pm to 11pm

The Package

  • £42k basic
  • 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)

The Role of the Site Contract Cleaning Manager

  • Substitute for the Cleaning Contract Manager in their absence.
  • Working closely with Contract Manager, Team Leaders, and wider team.
  • Ensure regular feedback is provided to the contract manager.
  • Responsible for managing and delivering the onsite Quality Management System.
  • Ensure all operational processes align to ISO 9001/14001/18001 standards.
  • Responsible for managing/overseeing daily cleaning operations for all internal and external areas.
  • Ensure service levels are meeting agreed cleaning targets and all outstanding actions are carried out.
  • Ensure ad-hoc cleaning works are carried out, logged, and documented.
  • Arrange all relevant and necessary cover.
  • Ensure team have the correct training, tools, and equipment at all times.
  • Ensure adequate levels/supply of consumables.
  • Issue, document, and monitor overtime.
  • Manage all of the onsite cleaning equipment.
  • Ensure frequent quality control checks of each building are carried out.
  • Ensure daily inspections of the estate are carried out.
  • Ensure all periodic works are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Liaise with the client to ensure all ad-hoc events/requests are supported anddelivered.
  • Responsible for onsite induction process.
  • Assist with annual appraisal program.
  • Assist with probationary reviews.
  • Maintain safe working practices, using correct barriers, signage, and ensure the team has the correct PPE.
  • Manage and update RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements).
  • Ensure team have the correct training and certification where applicable to complete their respective duties

  • Ability to work well in a highly pressurised environment.
  • Motivate and lead the team through coaching and one-to-ones.
  • Ensure customer needs are consistently met.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proactive with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Effective communication with people at all levels.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Good knowledge of Rota management and Working Time Directive.
  • Accurate data recording skills.
  • High standard of timekeeping and attendance
