CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Facilities Assistant reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for supporting  the facility services for the London Berners Street office are provided in an effective and efficient manner .

The role requires a hands on approach with some DIY maintenance skills to undertake small maintenance tasks along with supporting the front of house e.g. covering the reception area when needed 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out building checks on a daily basis ensuring any issues are reported and dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner .

• Maintaining the property to an acceptable and full operational standard at all times .

• Responsibility of local management of environmental matters to ensure compliancy targets such as recycling are met

. • Responsible for external contractors in the building on a daily basis Cleaning, Maintenance, Catering, Plant Maintenance , Pest Control .

• Ensuring attending contractors onsite have the authority to work and have provided the correct health and safety documentation to commence work.

• Identify opptunity that will continuously improve all aspects of the facility management of the Berners Street office .

• Support with carrying out the Fire drills and ensure there is a maintained Fire Marshal system and process .

• Organise fire and first aid training in line with legislation

• Prepare for health & safety and environmental audits

• Act as point of contact for facility related queries and issues for departments and contractors ensuing lines of communication are monitored regularly (Email, Mail, Phone)

• Assisting in office moves and departmental restructure of furniture and office space

• Proactively work towards promoting a sense of pride in the facility department

• Purchasing and procurement for facilities
