WTW is looking for a Maintenance Office Supervisor, based in the WTW London office, to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring all plant, equipment, and building assets are maintained efficiently and safely. The role involves supervising the maintenance team, coordinating with contractors, managing resources, and supporting the Manager in maintaining operational continuity and compliance with statutory and safety requirements.

The Role:

  • Deputise when the Manger is not on site
  • To carry out maintenance of all plant and assets in accordance with the Planned Preventive Maintenance schedules and in compliance with building statutory requirements.
  • Attend to failures of assets and equipment, investigate, rectify faults and have an awareness of the impact the breakdown may be having on the business.
  • Day to day supervision of operational tasks involving maintenance resources within the department and any specialist contractors on site.
  • Control operational activity of site-based maintenance team
  • Supervision of all aspects of the maintenance services including health & safety. Manage environmental controls to optimise the condition/availability of plant equipment and services.
  • Manage the ordering and purchase of spares, materials and consumables for the department. Manage the appropriate stock levels in line with budgetary requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining the departmental statutory documentation.
  • To maintain/oversee all mechanical/electrical & building related assets and services to the appropriate standards.
  • To prioritise the reactive and planned preventative maintenance work loads within the department and work with all management.
  • To administer the PPM system and ensure that it is current.
  • Collate data or documentation for maintenance issues for management use.
  • To act as a backup on all controls and major Electrical Infrastructure.
  • Working pattern, Monday to Friday 35hrs per week
  • Be part of the Call Out System and support the system and escalation as required
  • Working overtime as and when required

Additional Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise, manage and assist (where appropriate) technical specialist support contractors as necessary to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Manage & control maintenance related small works projects on an ad hoc basis, hands on when required
  • Provides support and operational advice to other internal departments where necessary/required
  • Co-operate with independent inspection personnel or audits in respect of access to plant. Action any defects as appropriate by using in house or specialist contractor support.
  • Control and maintain the department’s statutory and asset records, keeping files, records and drawings up to date.
  • Monitor and maintain the BMS system to collate data and carry out modifications as necessary.

The Requirements:

  • C&G or NVQ level 3 in electrical or mechanical building services
  • Recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Health + Safety standards and legislation
  • Adequate working knowledge of IEE regulations 18th Edition
  • Supervisory experience with taking the lead on incidents and reporting efficiently
  • Extensive years in M&E experience
  • Good Computer skills, working with Word and Excel and AI
  • Good understanding of systems i.e. BMS Prolojik and fire Alarm
