Operations Manager / Front of House Manager

Overview:

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of a new student residence with over 600 bed spaces. This role includes managing front-of-house reception services, leading a team, and working closely with a third-party facilities provider to ensure a high standard of service and a positive student experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the reception team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Oversee staff performance, training, rotas, and development.

Ensure hall operations meet financial, service, and regulatory targets.

Act as a key user for software systems including property management, parcel tracking, finance, and maintenance.

Collaborate with the facilities provider to ensure quality housekeeping, maintenance, and security services.

Coordinate emergency responses and assist with operational issues.

Contribute to sustainability efforts and support refurbishment projects.

Maintain accurate records in line with data protection and financial policies.

Handle complaints and feedback, and ensure high levels of student satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience managing a team in a customer-facing environment.

Experience delivering excellent customer service in the hospitality sector.

Knowledge of accommodation within the Higher Education sector or Hospitality

Prior experience using a Property Management System.

Competence in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel) and collaborative tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Zoom).

Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
