We are looking for a reliable and experienced Shift Engineer to join a dedicated team responsible for the maintenance of building systems and services within a prestigious commercial property in central London. The position operates on a rotating shift pattern to provide 24/7 support, ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of all building services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS, lighting, and power distribution.

  • Carry out fault-finding and diagnostics, ensuring swift resolution to reduce disruption.

  • Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Respond to building alarms and emergency situations, taking appropriate action and escalating when necessary.

  • Maintain detailed records of all work carried out and systems monitored.

  • Work collaboratively with on-site teams and external contractors to uphold high standards of service delivery.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance
  • Possession of qualificationssuch as City & Guilds, BTEC, HNC, BEng, or BSc (equivalent qualifications obtained outside of the UK should have a formal statement of compatibility issued).
  • Knowledge of relevant building systems including BMS, UPS, lighting, alarm systems, AHUs, FCUs, etc.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
