About the role

The School is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical/Engineering Manager. The individual will act as the key point of contact for all technical queries, providing expert knowledge and instilling confidence across the school site. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge building technology, contributing directly to the future feasibility and success of the School.

As the main lead for all technical operations, the Technical/Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving operational standards forward and ensuring that the school’s mechanical, electrical, and building management systems are maintained to the highest standards. This role will require an individual with both technical expertise and the ability to manage complex decisions related to cost implications, system upgrades, and long-term viability. The role is a Temp - Permanent role.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Technical Building Manager - Popular Secondary school located in the Kensington and Chelsea Borough - Asap you will:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building services Engineering or Equivalent Qualification
  • A Health and Safety Qualification - NEBOSH, IOSH
  • Ideally previous experience working in an Educational Establishment
  • Experience in Budget preparation, Project Management and Contractor Management
  • Proven experience in Managing complex building Systems in a Educational or similar environment
  • Strong ICT skills
  • A calm and professional approach to dealing with challenging situations
  • Great organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • An understanding of Safeguarding responsibilities around children
  • Motivated to be constantly improving and developing your skill set
  • Flexible and open to occasional work outside of normal working hours
  • The ability to communicate with staff, parent and students
  • Proactive and innovative with your work approach
