Hgv Sweeper Driver

Berry Recruitment are looking for a HGV Class 2 driver to work as part of their Streetcare team based in North London.

The successful candidate will be required to operate a truck mounted road sweeper t

Working hours are 36 hours per week 6am start

What does this role involve?

• Safely operating a truck mounted, left hand drive HGV road sweeper
• Ensuring daily work schedules are followed, and to a consistent high standard
• Completing appropriate safety checks on all vehicles and equipment, and reporting defects as required.
• Cleaning and washing down sweeper at the end of each shift
• Liaising with members of the public, other team members, managers and clients in a professional and courteous manner
• Assisting with other areas of the Streetcare service as required.

What are we looking for?

• HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) with Full CPC and experience of safely operating similar sized vehicles in busy urban environments
• Ability, desire and motivation to work alone and unsupervised
• Ability to follow work instructions, both written and oral, to a high standard
• Desire and ability to consistently work to a high standard with a flexible approach to work.
• Health and Safety awareness and the ability to follow safe working practices at all times
• Ability to understand and complete documents/forms relating to the service
• Local knowledge of the Peterborough area

Experience and Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) with Full CPC / Tacho
• Min 1 year experience of operating similar sized vehicles in urban environments
• Experience of operating truck mounted left hand drive sweepers preferable
